School Closure Update
Kerman Unified is continuing to work toward a full return of our programs and use of facilities that is consistent with the phased re-opening of California’s business and service community. These plans are developed with input from local health officials and are consistent with health and safety guidance currently in place. The following is an update on district programs and services offered by Kerman Unified as the school closure comes to an end.
As of June 8, 2020, the District Office will re-open to the public during regular summer business hours of Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm.
Kerman Unified Facilities:
Facility Requests by outside organizations/businesses must be approved by KUSD and will not be allowed on our campuses through June 30, 2020; however, we will revisit this in July. When facilities are open, priority for facility use requests will be given to District Programs and follow season of sport guidelines for preferential use.
Sports and Co-Curricular Programs (camps, clinics, sports and visual and performing arts):
KUSD will not allow Sports and/or Co-Curricular Programs to resume in person activities through June 30, 2020; however, we will revisit this in July. Coaches may meet with potential athletes though Google Meets to introduce coaching staffs, send virtual workouts, and/or begin implementing playbooks.
Beginning June 8, 2020 the Seamless Summer Feeding Program will begin from 8:00am to 12:00pm Monday through Friday at Kerman High School and Kerman Floyd Elementary schools. Kerman High School’s Seamless Summer Feeding Program will end on July 2, 2020 while Kerman Floyd’s Seamless Summer Feeding Program will end on August 7, 2020. Starting on Monday, June 8 food distribution to the bus routes will resume.
The District’s online Kerman High Summer School Program will begin as scheduled starting June 8, 2020. Summer instruction will be delivered remotely through Cyber High. Kerman High School is in communication with families of students enrolled in Summer School with specific information about their instructional program.
