For current 6th grade and 7th grade students who are interested in attending summer school this summer, registration information will be sent home with students this week.  There is also a link to a summer school registration flyer below on this web page. Please fill it out and return it to the KMS administration office.  Summer school will take place here at KMS and will offer two 2-week sessions where students can receive instruction to help them prepare for the upcoming school year.  Summer school sessions dates are June 5-16 and June 19-30.  Classes will be held 8:00am - 12:00pm.

Registration for the 2022-2023 School Year

All registration documents must be completed online.

This is completed through the AERIES parent portal:

    https://aeries.kermanusd.com/parent

If you need help completing this process, please call the school office at 843-9604.

After completing the Data Confirmation online, students will still need to come to campus (MPR) on their assigned registration day to complete their registration, pick up class schedule, take the photo for their student I.D... etc.

    KMS Athletic Participation

The Kerman Unified School District requires all participants in extra-curricular activities to maintain a 2.0 GPA or better in the previous 5-week grading period. Kerman Middle School students who have below a 2.0 GPA or receive an “F” on the most recent progress report card will not be allowed to try-out, or if already on the team, will be removed. Every student who wishes to participate in any sport must fill out the required forms online (Family I.D.), this includes uploading a current physical exam.

You will need to create an account on Family I.D., this is how you are cleared for sports! (link below)

You will need to sign up for the "Kerman Middle School Athletic Registration 2022-23".  This will not just pop up, you will need to search for the program. In the search bar type "Kerman" and it will pop up.

Tardy Policy - please don't be late to school!

Tardiness is disruptive to the educational process and deprives other students in the classroom of valuable instructional time. Disciplinary action will be taken on students with excessive tardies. (Refer to KUSD policy 5144.1). A tardy can only be excused due to illness, doctor's appointment, family funeral, or school activity. Any other reason is considered an unexcused tardy. If a student is reporting to school late, he/she will report to the Attendance Office with a parent/guardian call to the attendance secretary or a note from the parent/guardian. The student must sign in, and the attendance secretary will issue a tardy pass to the student. An excused tardy can only be issued by office attendance personnel.

    Dress Code Policy

Please review the dress code in the handbook.  A "dress code cheat sheet" link can be found below in the related files.  Students who are not following the Kerman Unified Dress Code will be referred to the administration office.  They will need to fix their dress code violation before being allowed to return to class.
