The NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) is the organization that governs most college sports in the United States. πŸ“Œ Division 1 Requirements
Students planning to compete in NCAA Division 1 athletics must complete 16 core courses in high school:

  • 4 years of English

  • 3 years of math (Algebra 1 or higher)

  • 2 years of natural/physical science (including 1 lab if offered)

  • 1 additional year of English, math, or science

  • 2 years of social science

  • 4 additional academic courses

You must also earn at least a 2.3 GPA in your core courses and meet the sliding scale of GPA and SAT/ACT scores set by the NCAA.
