Suicide Prevention and Intervention
Kerman Unified School District’s suicide prevention and intervention program is a comprehensive approach designed to promote student well-being, identify at-risk individuals, and respond effectively to mental health crises. This program includes staff training to recognize warning signs and clear procedures for referring students to appropriate support services. School counselors, psychologists, and other staff often play a central role, offering direct support and coordinating with parents and community mental health providers. The overall goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where students feel connected and empowered to seek help when needed.
